It Cosmetics has had one of its biggest years to date as each release is better and hotter than the last. Confidence in a Cream only further reaffirms IT’s versatility as the cosmetic line’s first skin care product. Typically speaking, cosmetic companies rarely are malleable enough to fit into every niche residing under the beauty umbrella. In the contrary, It Cosmetics took upon the challenge gracefully proving anything is possible. Confidence in a Cream by It Cosmetics was created with the same approach as the makeup line, developed with plastic surgeons and leading experts in skin rejuvenation to create products that really are good for you and work.
It Cosmetics’ Confidence in a Cream contains 2. 0z. / 60 mL of product and retails for $48.00. It can be purchased at ULTA (here), It Cosmetics (here), Beautylish (here) and QVC (here). At $48.00 I would consider this a mid-price level face cream. Being in that category, I really appreciate the packaging. The glass jar is sleek and cute enough to have out without feeling as though you paid for glamour. The cream does have a very pleasant scent which I by no means found offensive or overpowering.
Below is the list of Ingredients…
Confidence in a Cream has a thick and emollient consistency without being greasy. It is reminiscent of traditional cold creams and may feel too heavy for people with oily skin. As someone with dry skin, I appreciate that it is both fast absorbing and hydrating. Most creams on the thicker spectrum tend to just sit on top of my skin leaving behind a greasy / tacky film. Aside from it’s hydrating properties, the cream’s formula contains collagen and hyaluronic acid to plump fine lines, niacin and peptides to smooth the skin’s texture. Ultimately hydrating the skin while also improving it’s appearance, texture and firmness.
In a consumer panel, It Cosmetics claims the Confidence in a Cream has clinically shown results: 100% said their skin felt soft, smooth and infused with moisture, 97% said their skin felt rejuvenated, 94% said their skin felt younger and healthier and 81% said their pores appeared minimized and fine lines and wrinkles appeared less noticeable.
Overall, I really enjoyed using the It Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream. I can’t attest to it’s anti-aging properties, but I can say as someone with very dry skin I can confirm this is indeed hydrating. Earlier this year, I did travel and found it left my t-zone extremely dry to the point where foundation accentuated my dry patches. I can say this has definitely restored my skin. I also found I loved using this as a makeup primer before using my foundation. If you are someone who enjoys using the famous embryolisse lait creme concentre as a foundation primer than you will love this product. If you are someone who does not have severe dry skin like myself, I would recommend using this as a night cream. Remember, even though you may not have dry skin, moisturizing your skin is one of the biggest ways to defeat the signs of aging.
