Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo

This summer I restored my habit of using a dry shampoo.  Thanks to Oscar Blandi, finding the perfect dry shampoo is no longer as difficult as finding my beloved unicorn.  From experience, dry shampoos are something that are always best in theory.  Once applied, what promises clean rejuvenated hair, either turns out to be a powder that only accentuates dirty hair in it’s shaming glory or an amazing product with a not so amazing scent and price tag.

Enter Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo, a dry shampoo that can be used in two ways; to create volume or to freshen up dirty hair.  The lightweight aerosol spray provides a fresh lemon scent to combat even the stinkiest of issues.  Being someone who is picky with scents, the Oscar Blandi Dry Shampoo is manageable.  Lemon scented beauty products are tricky as they can quickly remind me of cleaning products.  I am glad to say this is not the case.

The dry shampoo is a finely milled white powder.  The applicator does a great job at dispersing the product evenly so your hair doesn’t end up with white blotches of powder.  Don’t be fooled, this product does not apply clear, but has the ability to appear clear if you use it the right way. Meaning, don’t over spray it! and rub it in !

The dry shampoo contains natural Rice, Oat & Tapioca Starches to absorb oil, dirt, and products without leaving your hair feeling overtly dry.   I have used this product on three day hair and have found that on the fourth day it will cause hair to appear matte but not dirty or ashy.  I also like that it won’t dry out your hair, if used regularly, like other dry shampoos.

As with most Oscar Blandi products, this is a high end product and can be found at your local Ulta and Nordstrom.  There are two sizes available: 1.4 oz can which retails for $11.00 and a 5 oz can which retails for $25.00.

Overall, I am very pleased with the Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo as it has restored my love for using dry shampoo.
