In celebration of Physicians Formula’s 80th Birthday, a few highly requested items have been re-released in a limited edition capsule. I’m sure the Anniversary Collection only begins to scratch the surface of the brand’s several cult favorites. Not to mention, not many brands can say they’ve been around for 80 years. Full disclosure, I received the Plum quad for testing purposes and am someone who normally does not use their products; nor have I previously seen the product featured in the re-launch. Upon using the eye shadows in the quad I immediately fell in love. Based on the quad’s performance alone, it’s no secret how Physicians Formula has succeeded in such a volatile drugstore industry, where keeping up with trends and the demands of maintaining low prices, overshadows quality.

The “Smoky Plums” quad includes four stunning eye shadows that provide the flexibility to create both a day and night look. The shadows are very pigmented and are by no means chalky or powdery. I found the glittery shades to have a normal amount of fall-out. Don’t forget to use a synthetic brush when applying the shimmery shades along with a glitter glue to acheive full intensity.
The buttery formula has me excited to try the “Classic Nudes” quad.
