Tarte recently launched their Summer 2015 collection and let me just say it is gorgeous. As soon as I saw the images on Instagram, I couldn’t resist purchasing The New Tarte Poppy Picnic Palette.
The Palette retails for $38.00 and can be purchased here, here and even here. It comes in a Stunning golden case that feels sturdy. I really love Tarte Packaging, not only is it cute, it also works! Unlike other palettes, the Poppy Palette’s clasp is strong enough where I feel confident enough to store in my purse without the fear of creating a mess.
If you are a tarte lover like myself, you will notice that this palette is slightly different than the existing eye and cheek palettes. Although the Tarte Poppy Picnic Palette does not have a highlighter or bronzer, I’m in love with this baby. Each of the six eyeshadows are matte, velvety soft and not at all powdery or chalky.
The palette’s blush “glisten” is very similar in formula to the clay amazonian blushes in that its consistency is very hard and highly pigmented. I personally don’t mind because Tarte blushes seem to last forever. I would describe “glisten” as a peachy pink with a golden shift; perfect for a pop of color!

If you haven’t, I highly suggest you take a stroll to Sephora and Ulta. I’ve had this for a week and can’t seem to use anything else. Yes, you may say this palette seems basic, but it’s summer and there’s nothing more beautiful than a neutral eye with glowing skin.
