Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lip Cream in Country Star

I recently purchased the Too Faced La Creme color drenched at Ulta in the color “Country Star” .  This is the first time I’ve purchased a lipstick from Too Faced.  First of all the packaging (box) is super feminine and gorgeous.  The lipstick comes in a golden tube that gives off a fancy feel to the application.  I would prefer a tube that feels sturdier but thus far I have had no issues with it breaking.

Although, moisturizing, if you have  dry lips like myself you would need to use a balm prior to applying to ensure an even application.  The lipstick is a combination between a lipstick and a gloss.

Once applied, the lipstick leaves a glossy texture without leaving your lips feeling tacky.  The color does not sink in to your lip wrinkles, but if you do have that problem you may want to try the Too Faced lip primer.

Overall, your lips are left feeling moisturized.  The only con I have with this product is its wear time.  The product does wear off rather quickly but does not leave your lips looking patchy which is a positive.  You could decide to either apply a clear gloss or reapply as needed.

As you can see, the lipstick is ultra creamy.  To ensure a precise application I like to use my Sigma lip brush  that I purchased at IMATs.  For some reason mine just seems to melt and is somewhat high maintenance and would be almost impossible to apply straight from the tube.

Cons aside, I absolutely love this nude color.  It is quite a universal shade and can be used all throughout the year for any occasion.

At the end I feel like the end results are worth the tedious application process and the necessary touch ups.
