Wet n Wild Fergie Centerstage Collection

Upon strolling the aisles of CVS with a coffee, a deadly combination, mind you some of my most successful moments.  I found the somewhat new Wet n’ Wild CENTERSTAGE COLLECTION To Reflect Shimmer Palettes.

The updated collection includes three highlighters: A044 Rose Golden Goddess, A045 Rose Champagne Glow and A065 Hollywood Boulevard.

From experience, Wet n’ Wild as a brand is a hit or miss, with the “hits” becoming holy grail items.

The rather large pans are encased in a glossy black compact with a clear cover.  They hold 0.4 oz. of  and retails for $5.99.  CVS usually has makeup sales and so I was able to purchase these at buy 2 get 1 free.

As a drugstore item the packaging lacks the weight and sturdiness of high end compacts but isn’t flimsy.  Packaging aside, these palettes are reminiscent of the marbleization found in the hourglass palettes with the same domed shape of the MAC Mineralized Skinfinish.

All three palettes provide an intense amount of shimmer without the unnecessary chunky glitter found in most drugstore highlighters.  These are highly pigmented and can be used wet or dry, depending on the desired intensity.  I would note they do pull on the metallic side if heavily applied.

I did find that the texture is inconsistent throughout the three pans because Hollywood Boulevard is a finer milled formula in comparison to  Rose Champagne Glow and Rose Golden Goddess that feel grittier.

As you can see, Hollywood Boulevard has gold, pink and bronze veins throughout creating a golden highlighter.  This is a perfect highligher for those with yellow undertones or a summer tan.  I found this palette much creamier than the other two allowing for a seamless blend.

This is a beautiful highlighter for deeper skin tones or warmer skin tones.

Overall, as a drugstore product this collection is sufficient in satisfying anyone’s shimmer needs.  For the lovely price I can’t nip pick because I am guilty of having lower expectations.

The only real negative thing I found with this collection is the substantial amount of fallout it creates.  This isn’t a big deal with the final results because as you can see the swatches are beautiful.  You would have never guessed I purchased them at CVS.  My favorite of the three is Rose Champagne Glow, and I can see anyone who loves Becca’s Opal fall in love with Hollywood Boulevard for their sticking resemblance.

Have you tried this collection?

Those WnW highlighters look cool! I’ve always wanted to thy them, but I keep forgetting to look for them while I’m out. I’ll have to try and remember for next time.
