The Beautyblender forever changed the way people applied makeup. The Kabuki brush, similar to the Makeup Wedge, quickly became a thing of the past. Even with its steep price tag, the Beautyblender’s ability to seamlessly blend foundation, apply powder and concealer justified purchasing a sponge for twenty dollars. With such an investment, comes the upkeep, and I like many whom purchased the Beautyblender purchased the Blendercleanser Solid to protect such a pricey investment.
The Solid Cleanser Solid cleaned and sanitized yet fell short removing stains. So for $16.00, the Beautyblender Blendercleanser Solid lacks in comparison to the Beautyblender. Many couldn’t justify the expensive upkeep and found dupes or household concoctions to avoid paying the $16.00. I personally use the original Blendercleanser Solid to wash both my blenders and brushes. Similar to many, I hate using my white blender. I love it when its brand new, but after awhile, the old stains on my white Beautyblender grossed me out.
When I found the Beautyblender Blendercleanser Solid Pro at IMATs this passed January I can honestly say my life changed. Not only is the Beautyblender Blendercleanser Solid Pro a whopping 5.3 oz and retails for $45.00 (can be purchased here). The original Blendercleanser Solid is 1 oz. Yes the Beautyblender Blendercleanser Pro is larger but what makes it impressive is its key ingredient, Charcoal. I was so impressed with the Beautyblender Blendercleanser Pro’ deep cleaning ability. It removed the stains from my significantly old White Beautyblender. What do you think? The second photo is a picture of the same Beautyblenders pictured in the first photo. Pretty impressive, right? If the photo doesn’t convince you, I’m sure if you try it yourself, you’ll fall deeply in love. Just like I did!
