You may forget to apply Sunblock but your skin does not.
My second Beauty Resolution for 2017 is to consistenly wear Sunblock. I always forget to wear it. Do you have something you repeatedly forget to do? It’s not that I don’t want to. A non-beauty example would be re-useable grocery bags. I always carry re-usable bags in my car but once I’m at the checkout, I realize I forgot them in my car. My relationship with Sunblock is the same. Unfortunately, my skin does not forget and rather than paying a 10 cent fee, I pre-expose myself to premature aging, sun spots, wrinkles and even skin cancer. Last year, It Cosmetics introduced their new “Anti-Aging Armour Super Smart Skin-Perfecting Beauty Fluid SPF 50+”.
Don’t worry, It Cosmetics Anti-Aging Armour has you covered!
It Cosmetics “Anti-Aging Armour” retails for $38.00 and is available at It Cosmetics (here) and Sephora (here). It contains 1 US fl. oz. I was surprised by the size as the bottle towers a mere 4 inches. But then I remembered foundation bottles also contain 1 fl. oz. If anything, I appreciate the bottle is not bulky or excessive. The small size makes it convenient for a gal on the go. It’s the perfect size to keep in your purse or gym bag! What’s even more amazing is that it is a Broad Spectrum Physical Sunscreen SPF/FPS 50+ UVA/UVB . The active ingredients are Titanium Dioxide (12.1%) and Zinc Oxide (6.3%).
The “Skin-Perfecting Beauty Fluid” has a thin, light weight consistency. The only draw back is it has a limited shade selection – one shade named Universal Translucent. The “Skin-Perfecting Beauty Fluid” can be used as a moisturizer, antiaging serum, primer, and sunscreen. If you have a fair to light skin tone, you can wear this alone as a light coverage BB/CC cream. Unfortunately, since it contain physical Sunblock, the “Skin-Perfecting Beauty Fluid” will appear ashy or grey on deeper skin tones. I was pleasantly surprised to find it did not settle into my pores. It also did not accentuate my pores. As a person with dry skin however, I did notice it accentuated dry spots on my forehead. I would not recommend this product to anyone with sever dry skin.
Overall, I can see myself gravitating towards the It Cosmetics “Anti- Aging Armour” on non-makeup days. I love the formula. It’s light weight consistency doesn’t feel like makeup while evening out your complexion. If you’ve tried the “Your Skin but Better CC+ Cream with SPF 50+” and found it too heavy for every day use. Try the “Anti-Aging Armour”. This by no means is a foundation substitute, but its a great alternative for someone who doesn’t need full-coverage foundation. If you do need full coverage foundation, this is a wonderful Sunblock for its high physical Sunblock content.
