The Make Up Eraser is one of those items I initially categorized with “As Seen on TV”. That’s right, although its name is cute, it sounds rather gimmicky with high promises and very little hopes of actually working.
Is my statement harsh? Why, yes it is. However, I see it warranted when you are being asked to pay $20.00 for what appears to be a pink towel encased in a box shaped as an eraser.
WOW! ! ! ! ! !
Was I simply W-R-O-N-G !
The Make Up Eraser has made large leaps within the makeup community. As it can now be purchased at your local Sephora in a new modern translucent pink box – a very smart change might I add.
Regardless of where you purchase The Original Make Up Eraser – each eraser should retail for $20.00.
The box I purchased included one (1) eraser, a set of instructions and one (1) storage pouch.
I can’t confirm the new re-packaged version contains the small pouch to store your eraser.
The Eraser itself is 7 inches wide and 16 inches long.
As a skeptic, I was surprised as to how soft the towel feels on my face. Prior to purchasing the Eraser, I like everyone else, did extensive YouTube research. Each and every tutorial left the person with a clean yet red face; only leaving me with the conclusion that the towel clearly worked because it was abrasive.
Much to my dismay, the towel, or shall I say the Make Up Eraser felt soft. I would go as far as comparing it to a baby blanket. With such a soft texture, my curiosity could not control the amount of questions flooding my brain. If it doesn’t look like something special, how on earth does it work? And quite frankly, after viewing countless videos on items that bloggers claim to be AMAZING… My ultimate question was…Did this work?
Well let me just share that the Make Up Eraser WORKS ! ! ! ! !
The towel is made of 100% polyester and requires water to activate whatever magical fibers or powers it may have.
The towel is very easy to use. Once the towel is lightly damp, gently wipe your face to remove E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G
Eye makeup and mascara do not have a fighting chance. Not only did it remove my eye makeup, it also did so without causing any form of eye irritation. I find myself using this the most when I have heavy eye makeup.
Overall, this is an amazing product. The only downside that I found is having to wash it after every use. Ideally, I would love to have one for every day, but at $20.00 each I am happy incorporating it into my existing makeup removal routine.
Will you try this? It’s definitely worth it.
I’ve gotta say you’ve got me convinced!
Do you know if they still sale the box that does contains the small pouch? and do you actually use it? It’s seems really good to store the towel in it and actually kind of weird not to sell it with a storing solution…
thanks!
