A Fast and Simple Way to Destress

After using TRUE BOTANICALS Clear Cleanser, you will never see facial cleansers the same

This past year amplified areas in life that were “wrong” or “unbalanced” and quite frankly, aspects that needed improvement. Constantly feeling stressed or burned out is said to lead to chronic stress. On a personal level the concept has become synonymous with my daily life. What’s worse than being stressed? Being told to destress when you are stressed. That, in itself, is stressful! If anyone has ever told you to “relax” at a moment when you least needed it – you know exactly what I mean. Recently, I found the best way to destress is by shifting my perspective on simple tasks and finding pleasures in mundane; particularly washing one’s face.

So what do you do?

At this point in time, we all know the benefits essential oils have in creating a relaxing experience. However, when I’m deep in the trenches of stress, I don’t have the time or energy to bust out my diffuser. Especially since I probably didn’t clean it out properly the last time I’ve used it and there is a high possibility it has developed mold. So what do you do? And no! This isn’t meant to shame you for what some might call laziness, or lack of self prioritization. Granted, it could very well be an accurate analysis of myself.

So once again, what do you do? An easy way to distress is to wash your face with scented cleanser that mimics the experience of a fancy spa. The right cleanser, might very well assist in shifting your mental state. Yes, you heard me right! Wash your damn face, but with the right cleanser of course. How did I come to this conclusion? Most people wash ones face post workout, in the mornings and pre bedtime. Have you thought of washing your face the moment you get home? Even if that means washing your face after returning from an errand before 11:00 a.m. Washing your face does something magical to your mental space. I’ve found True Botanicals Clear Nourishing Cleanser does just that, provide me a minute to myself. It helps to know my skin feels soft and clean in the process.
